Linda C. (Petrucci) Wills
December 25, 1946 ~ January 10, 2024 (age 77)
Linda C. (Petrucci) Wills, 77, of Middletown, DE peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Born in Wilmington on Christmas Day 1946, she was the daughter of the late Armond and Cecelia (McCabe) Petrucci.
Linda was a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and was employed with the State College School District in State College, PA and the Colonial School District in New Castle, DE. Her career as a Para-Professional with the school districts involved assisting in the education of visually impaired students, and she retired as a braillist.
A devout Catholic, Linda was actively involved with Our Lady of Victory Parish in State College, PA and St. Joseph Parish in Middletown, DE. She participated in the RCIA program at both parishes, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and enjoyed her membership with the Women’s Club at Our Lady of Victory.
Linda was passionate about gardening and time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Linda will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Ronald W. Wills; her children, Christopher Wills and wife, Sandra, Tina Wills, Lauren Wills, and Leslie Papanicolas and husband, Nick; her grandchildren, Sydney Wills, Luke Papanicolas, Sophia Wills and Ethan Papanicolas. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Barbara Oliphant, Carol Sexton-Lipstein and husband, Don; her in-laws, Robert and Mary Lou Wills, Richard and Connie Wills; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Armond and her mother, Cecelia.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Thursday, January 18 from 10:00 – 11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
